For those that are interested we're all still alive & well & back on the main land. I've also found my notched fork

[Michael Love @isowilds]

We made it onboard but as the boat left we saw two backpackers arrive too late...

[Michael Love @isowilds]

After a recheck of my equipment I remembered my journaling pen ran out of ink on #IsleRoyale last year. So #IFixedIt

[Michael Love @isowilds]

With help from 2 T-6 drivers and a 4d nail I #modified @leathermanusa style CS & PS for my #backpacking toolkit.

[Michael Love @isowilds]

Practicing preparing backpacking meals for the whole family. From filtering water to sparking flame. #IsleRoyaleTrip

[Michael Love @isowilds]

We head to #isleroyale in about a month so we're put putting our tent though its paces and getting our gear ready

[Michael Love @isowilds]

Trying out a new #backpacking cold cereal #breakfast recipe. #JustAddWater 1cup cereal 2 tablespoons of #nido milk

[Michael Love @isowilds]

Setting up my new @alpsmountaineer 3 person tent. We all got in and we all fit including the dogs.

[Michael Love @isowilds]

That's a lot of food to bring back from my trip.

[Michael Love @isowilds]

Finally home, the first thing I do is put my hiking clothes in the wash Starting to smell like butterscotch & ammonia

Day5 sometimes those #IsleRoyale adventures are almost identical only offset by a couple of hours.

[Michael Love @isowilds]

Day5 waiting for our packs to be unloaded we give final nods to those who have shared the adventure of #IsleRoyale

[Michael Love @isowilds]

Day5 around 1:40 pm the #RangerIII moves off Lake Superior. We still have an hour before we dock in Houghton

[Michael Love @isowilds]

Day5 we spend hours discussing the adventures had on the trails before the #RangerIII lulls us into contemplation.

[Michael Love @isowilds]

Day5 around 10:42 am I finally loose sight of #IsleRoyale I truly hope it is not the last time I set eyes on it

[Michael Love @isowilds]

Day5 it's not until we've pulled away from #IsleRoyale that I can zoom in and make out the fire tower on Mt Ojibway

[Michael Love @isowilds]

Day5 it takes about an hour from leaving rock harbor #IsleRoyale for #RangerIII to make it out onto Lake Superior

[Michael Love @isowilds]

Day5 it only takes the #RangerIII 10 minutes to get alongside 3 mile camp and the dock I slumped onto two days ago.
