Aside from whatever bugs etc that are expected on a DAY ONE release, there's nothing wrong with the game.

It's advertised as PVP, not story.

Had an absolute blast playing at Liverpool for the Pokémon Regional Championship, it was fun, met some beautiful people, didn't complete it as I wasn't gonna qualify for day 2, but that doesn't matter, had my family and a friend of ours there, there's also London Int - I'm going!
