In 2006, during my Pre-degree year at OAU, I was part of DLCF.

For reasons I'd rather not go into, I couldn't continue once we moved to the main campus, but that one year was full and impactful.

I attended both the December and Easter retreats for 2006/2007 at the campground near Ipetumodu.

Amazing times.
Amazing relationships.
Amazing values that quietly became habits I still carry.

That season forged something in me, a strength that helped me navigate university without caving to pressures.

It also helped me to stay focused on my dreams even when opposition came from unexpected places.

I can only be grateful for that year. And for this man who was bold enough to stand for something unpopular.
