Kenya’s journey toward Universal Health Coverage has reached a defining milestone in 2026 with the full operationalization of the Social Health Authority (SHA) under the Bottom-Up Transformation Agenda.
For decades, access to equitable healthcare was constrained by a fragmented, salary-based insurance system that left millions—particularly those in the informal sector—without meaningful coverage.
Today, under the Taifa Care model, that structural barrier has been effectively addressed, ushering in a more inclusive and responsive national health system.
By March 2026, SHA registration had scaled to an impressive 29.7 million citizens, signaling a strong restoration of public trust in the country’s healthcare system.
This milestone demonstrates not only expanded coverage but also the successful formalization of health financing across both the formal and informal sectors.

@abdikadirist Well articulated piece of advice to head of State. Horn of Africa requires such brilliant, able, talented, and ambitious young men! Men of go getters, men with vision, and ready to bring developmental agendas and progress.
Kudos AK, @abdikadirist; keep advocating for change.
Just forgive.
If parents encourage their children to develop their abilities and be useful to themselves and the community, they have given the nation a strong new pillar.

At the end of the day, all that really matters is that your loved ones are well, you have done your best and that you are thankful for all you have.
If someone says or does something that upsets you, don't take it to heart . It's not easy but it's for your own peace of mind......
Life is too short to be anything, but be happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living.
Cherish those people in your life who check up on you regularly, they are one of life's treasures.
Stay safe and be blessed
There comes a time in life when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. Surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good.
Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't.
So don't wait to be kind. Don't wait for someone else to be kind first. Don't wait for better circumstances or for someone to change. Just be kind, because you never know how much someone needs it.

You never really know the true impact you have on those around you. You never know how much someone needed that smile you gave them. You never know how much your kindness turned someone's entire life around. You never know how much someone needed that long hug or deep talk.

Most of our misunderstandings are because of our tone of voice. People think we are angry even if we are just explaining our point.

Those who died yesterday had plans for today and tomorrow. Don't take life for granted, in a blink of an eye everything can change, forgive others. We never know when it's our turn to leave this world.......
Vetting the so called "border communities"for IDs and Passports is illegal, discriminatory and uncouth practice that has lasted for 6 decades without challenge.
There is no basis in law or regulation for the practice.
Time has come to discontinue this discriminatory practice.
