Under the theme “Youth Without Borders: Driving Shared Regional Prosperity,” the 14th Youth Development Forum explored how stronger regional cooperation can expand opportunities for young people across IsDB Member Countries.
Bringing together policymakers, entrepreneurs, academics, development practitioners, and youth leaders, the Forum focused on advancing youth employment, entrepreneurship, innovation, skills development, and cross-border collaboration.
Participants called for stronger partnerships to support youth-led initiatives and emphasized the vital role of young people in driving sustainable regional prosperity.

📌 60,000 people will have the opportunity to become volunteers at the Olympic and Paralympic Games @LA28, powering two of the world's greatest sporting events.
🔹 The application portal will open on 14 July 2026.
🔹 The programme offers two ways to get involved: supporting community initiatives in the lead-up to the Games and volunteering during Games time.
🔹 Roles will range from welcoming and guiding spectators to supporting athletes, assisting venue operations and helping visitors navigate the Games experience. Specialist opportunities will also be available for people with skills such as medical expertise or translation.
🔹 Most volunteer positions will be based in the Greater Los Angeles region, although opportunities will also be available in other cities hosting Olympic events, including Oklahoma City, New York, Columbus, Nashville, St Louis, San José and San Diego.
🔹 Volunteers will be expected to complete a minimum of 10 shifts during either the Olympic volunteer period (March-August 2028) or the Paralympic volunteer period (August-September 2028).

Commonwealth Games Uganda and @LilHandsGoGreen today officially launched the Commonwealth Forest Initiative in Mabira Forest, marking the beginning of a landmark environmental legacy programme that will connect all 74 Commonwealth nations and territories through forest restoration, climate action, biodiversity conservation, and youth engagement.
As part of the launch, 74 indigenous trees were planted to represent the 74 Commonwealth nations and territories. The trees stand as a living symbol of unity, shared responsibility, and collective action in response to climate change. The initiative seeks to establish Mabira Forest as the permanent home of a growing Commonwealth Forest, creating a lasting legacy that links sport, nature, and sustainable development.
