It was 1990 and women weren’t allowed to take a bath after giving birth. Too dangerous. I helped women to do so if they really wanted to, and was reprimanded regularly by the manager who bullied most of us. Even my trusted colleagues told me I was ‘rocking the boat’...

They don't see the misogyny because we are a long way from a society that fully respects women.
