Very disturbed to hear of women arrested in Spain to undergo a forced induction for reaching 42+3 weeks. This is a clear breach of her human rights under the ECHR. You can sign this petition in support #miparto#mybirth https://t.co/s64QE2pMSl
Whatever you think of Shamima Begum, it is an appalling truth that her baby’s death from pneumonia in a Syrian refugee camp, was utterly avoidable. And that the loss of three babies in a row, is enough to turn any woman, or man, towards a kind of madness
It was 1990 and women weren’t allowed to take a bath after giving birth. Too dangerous. I helped women to do so if they really wanted to, and was reprimanded regularly by the manager who bullied most of us. Even my trusted colleagues told me I was ‘rocking the boat’...
@ge2vdb @WeMHNurses@Mental_Elf @SagefemmeSB spoke to us at uni about old routine practices that we find shocking now and reminded us to look at what we’re doing now that we will be shocked by in the future
I think the nausea is compounded by my distaste at being such a lefty hippy that I’ve given myself lactose intolerance/my body can’t cope with a chocolate brownie and a cup of tea 2/2
Ate a brownie and drank two cups of tea with cows milk today, despite being vegan because basically the nhs is a desperate place to work and someone handed it to me and now I feel SO ill 1/2
So glad i'm not the only one who felt like this about 'This is going to hurt', I thought i'd had a sense of humor failure with everyone telling me how great it is all the time
