how on earth are we ever going to tackle #VAWG, if we don’t focus on the perpetrators hiding behind positions of power and authority? public services are quite literally enabling abuse and that is EVERYONE’S issue..
at least it should be.
Fun fact - I lost my home, car and belongings as a consequence from whistleblowing in the Met Police. Please help me rebuild and make change 🩷

I echo much of her frustration.
Only once in 23 years did I whistleblow on a colleague - the level of interest shown by the force was woeful. I was treated appallingly by management - little appetite shown to deal with the issue. That same officer remains in the met continuing appalling behaviours today (they had particular issues with female staff).
Former 999 call handler Issy Vine, who blew the whistle on racism and misogyny on the force, reveals why she is suing the Met Police.

The Met Police says it takes her concerns "extremely seriously".

@ginnersinner@BBCLondonNews Hi David. The director (high ranking police staff) of my then department (MetCC) chaired the appeal and rehired the colleague. You are incorrect.
