This week on “Catch the Pace,” Dr. Pace encourages students, families, and staff across Henry County Schools to enjoy a well-deserved Spring Break as the district enters the final stretch of the 2025–2026 school year. As we prepare for the last six weeks, important milestones lie ahead—including end-of-year testing, awards celebrations, field days, crossing-over ceremonies, and graduations for the Class of 2026. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, April 13, refreshed and ready to finish the year strong.

HCS will delay all school and district-wide operations by two hours tomorrow morning due to severe weather projected for this area and the potential for elevated impacts, including high winds and possible tornados. Elementary schools will start at 9:35 a.m.; high schools will start at 10:15 a.m.; and middle schools will start at 11 a.m. Bus routes will also change to reflect the two-hour delay (for example, if a student's school bus stop is at 7:15 a.m., it will be adjusted to 9:15 a.m.). The delayed start will not change the time school ends, including dismissal by bus transportation. All staff should report two hours delayed if it is safe to do so. If hazardous conditions develop in your area, please make the best decision for your family and communicate with your school regarding tardiness or absences.
