VIDEO | Delhi: Speaking during 'Sena Samvad', Mizoram Governor General (Retd) VK Singh, says, "There is a deep sense of trust and a strong spirit of unity within the armed forces. Whenever there is a problem in the country whether it is a natural disaster, whether it is law and order, anything in which civil administration is not able to cope it, they ask for the armed forces to come. Why? Ask yourself this question. After all, people in the police, people in the administration, people in the paramilitary forces and people in the armed forces, they are from the same stock. Probably they come from the same villages and towns. Probably they are also related to each other. But why is it that the armed forces succeed? They succeed because of two things. One there's a tremendous amount of unity because the armed forces do not get swayed by caste and religion. And second, they always keep the nation above all. For them, nation is supreme, that is why they succeed when they put in their effort for that particular work."

VIDEO | Delhi: At Sena Samvad, a civil-military interaction, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi says, "... The biggest joy that a military officer experiences is when he is acknowledged and accepted by the soldiers, and when he has the blind trust of his soldiers... When a soldier hugs you after a successful operation, there is no hierarchy that time, he considers you as a comrade. That is the best thing... A soldier is always short of time, not in the unit, but with family. In high-altitude areas, soldiers have often missed their weddings. They often miss the birth of their children. We are working towards it but sometimes it is beyond our control..."

VIDEO | Delhi: Addressing the 'Sena Samvad', Mizoram Governor General (Retd) Vijay Kumar Singh, says, "NEET paper may be leaked, but papers are not leaked in the Army. We have systems that are absolutely fair. You cannot have a fairer system than that. Competitive exams are conducted in the armed forces as well. The evaluation process is different. In the evaluation team, one person checks only one question. So if there is any error, it is applied equally across all candidates. It is a very fair system. You will not find anything fairer than this. If you want to see fairness, discipline, motivation, and the willingness to serve the country, it is difficult to find that anywhere other than the armed forces."

#WATCH | Delhi: On Gen Z, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi says, "So let me firstly concede and accept that the generation is at least 10 times better than our generation. They are much more adaptable. They're socially aware, globally connected, and digitally fluent...The Indian Army is talking about 2026-27 as the year of networking and data centricity. We have started the internship, and we received one lakh applications for 100 vacancies. Today, we have opened up all the army-based workshops, all our category A establishments, and so many headquarters for the internship of the children. Because half of the time, they come out with a simplistic solution. On the battlefield, we require a battlefield equaliser. We don't require tank versus tank. If you give me a simple solution to a difficult problem, I think you are the ones who are going to win the battle for us..."
