Though Bari Weiss had no experience in TV journalism before being hired as the head of CBS News, she is arguably the perfect fit for a world in which people make millions peddling the propaganda of people who make billions.
@KfcTokyo Totally! And some really great neighborhoods! However I currently live in Lincoln Park, have for the last five years, and don’t want to change my routine/gym/grocery store etc.,
happy pride month to billy from school of rock. you were so fabulous even in the extremely homophobic year of 2003 and few among us could have been as brave
Gallup's new poll finds Americans continue to sour on LGBT issues relative to 2022.
The share of Americans who say:
- Same-sex marriage is valid: Down 6 pts

- Changing one’s gender morally acceptable: Down 8, to just 38%
Trump's Treasury Secretary: F-food prices, or as many people like to call them, groceries, statistical data--
Sen. @Maggie_Hassan: When's the last time you were in a grocery store??
Kuwait: Iranian drones and missiles targeted the Passenger Terminal "T1" building at Kuwait International Airport, causing "severe damage to a number of airport facilities, in addition to recording human injuries -- Suspension of flights and diversion of flights to alternative airports until further notice"
BRUTAL indictment of @bariweiss by Scott Pelley:
"For my part, new management has instructed me to inject falsehoods and bias into a politically sensitive story. I’ve been told to include assertions that are unverified." Then it gets worse...
Breaking NYT:
In a move that disproportionately targets women and minority officers, Pete Hegseth recently blocked the promotions of at least seven Navy officers who had been selected by a board of senior Navy admirals.
The decision appears driven by his anti-diversity stance rather than based on merit. https://t.co/9eesu4F4Jo
@nathanielro This is super condescending. Squidward lived a very full and vibrant life before we met him in 1999. Yes Squidward is an HIV positive man but he doesn’t let it define him but also isn’t ashamed of it. And yes he’s undetectable, not that it’s any of your business.
Follow the money on this one. It is rotten to the core.
The Pentagon just lent $620,000,000 to a tiny North Carolina startup called Vulcan Elements. The company is two years old.
It had fewer than 50 employees.
And three months before the deal was announced, Donald Trump Jr.’s venture firm quietly took a stake in it.
Here is the part the administration tried to bury.
Of the dozens of companies the Pentagon was weighing, Vulcan was the only deal initiated by a top White House aide. That aide was Peter Navarro, a close friend of Trump Jr. The order came down to move fast.
One official put it plainly: The call came from the White House. We have to get this done.
Staff worked late nights to push it through in weeks. Deals like this normally take many months of vetting. And when it closed, Vulcan’s valuation jumped from about 200 million dollars to roughly 2 billion.
A windfall for the investors, including the president’s son.
This is public money. Your money.
Routed through the Pentagon to enrich the president’s family and their friends. The Bush administration’s own chief ethics lawyer called it corruption we pay for.
And there is more coming.
A drone parts company Trump Jr. holds a stake in is also under Pentagon review.
This is not a one-off. It is a pattern. The president’s family is treating the federal Treasury like a private bank, and the bill lands on every taxpayer.
