Too many people fall victim to bad actors when participating in trends.
I want to make a difference.
(This account is now a solo project, please be patient)
Hello, we are "Is This Trend Safe?" or ITTS for short.
We aim to provide you with answers on the latest Twitter (We're not calling it X) trends on whether they are safe to do so or not.
I will continue to retweet anything I see informing people of the danger that is infinitweet.
Be careful when doing trends. They're not always as they seem.
✒Hello, Von speaking.
The word about using infinitweet. It is true. Please do spread this around. Don't forget to changed passwords too for safety precautions.
-Thanks to Sunny, for letting me know about this too.
Blolook seems to be safe, I don't see anything inherently wrong with it, checked the internet for anything that could possibly say it's unsafe, found nothing other than an unanswered Reddit post.
My advice is to use it at your own discretion.
Folks please do not allow access to anything that gives itself this many permissions. Seeing your "secret stalker" or whatever is not worth this massive violation of privacy and account control. Remove Infinityweet from your connected apps immediately.
"infinitweet" is NOT safe to use.
This website is used for certain trends which to our knowledge should be impossible to calculate, especially the stalker one.
The application is known to make you follow crypto bots, and could end up giving your account to a bad actor.
@JenCullen2 FYI the name thing is my personal opinion based on what I can visually see, there's (unfortunately) no proven evidence that the claim is true
Here's an update to my infiny (infinytweet) saga
get it it's a marvel reference..
ok SO it seems to me that infinitweet is using shell websites to try and trick you into allowing their application to run your twitter account.
(PLEASE READ THE THREAD)
@JenCullen2 From what I can gather, infinitweet gets its name from a legitimate app called Affinitweet (which did similar stuff but safe) The app shutdown in April of 2023 due to Twitter's API changes.
DO NOT TRUST Roundyearfun/infinytweet AT ALL
They are linked with one another.
If you've made a #MyTwitterFamily post, the website/app you used now has access to your twitter account.
It will begin to send spam from your account unless you revoke its permissions. Sending spam could get your account banned.
Instructions in next tweet.
Go to settings, security and account access, apps and sessions, connected apps.
Note: you must check connected apps NOT connected accounts.
If you see any "fun" app in there that you don't recognise, revoke its permissions immediately to disable it.

How do you know if it's safe or not? We look into what permissions the program for the trend asks for, as when a trend is unsafe it will ask for unnecessary permissions.
Please be very weary when doing the twitter circle trend, it uses the infinitweet site which has already been shown to be unsafe, if you want to do it safely please use
