airing out some thoughts... i kind of dislike when people talk about (objectively) "good" character design as if it's not a) a very new field and b) a very subjective field... character design is meant to fulfill some purpose & that purpose changes depending on the medium 1/
oh actually i was going to stop but re: the new industry thing, it's so hard to say objectively what's "good" character design because it's going to change so much over the next few years, as it has the last many years. it's a fickle & transient thing, and the aesthetic 5/
