I feel bad for Lewis. Absolutely no hate to him but Cole sucked so bad. May this be a lesson to WB/producers behind the film, next time don’t invent an original character to kill him off immediately cause he shouldn’t have existed in the first place.
When Meryl Streep was 56, Fox offered her $2 million for The Devil Wears Prada. She said no and asked for $4 million. The studio said yes the same day, no haggling. They had no choice. Without her, there was no movie.
The film cost about $40 million to make. It earned $326 million at the box office. The extra $2 million was nothing compared to what the movie made. Fox knew the film didn't work without her, so paying her was a no-brainer.
Anne Hathaway, who played the main character, got paid $1 million for the same movie. It was the first million-dollar paycheck of her career. Streep made four times that for playing her boss.
By that point, Streep had been acting for decades. She'd never asked for more money before. She thought she was about to retire. Her own words on what Fox first offered her: "Slightly, if not insulting, not perhaps reflective of my actual value to the project."
Prada was the start of her biggest run yet. Mamma Mia in 2008 grossed $610 million. The biggest hit of her life. It's Complicated did $219 million the year after. The Iron Lady won her a third Oscar in 2012, at age 62. Doubt, Julie & Julia, Into the Woods, The Post, Little Women all came after Prada. Add up every Streep film and you get more than $4.5 billion at the box office. Twenty-one Oscar nominations now, more than any actor in Oscar history.
What went viral from the Today interview was something she said in passing: "They needed me, I felt." The studio agreeing right away proved she was right.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters tomorrow. It's tracking to open at around $175 million globally. Streep is 76 now. Twenty years later, she still hasn't retired.
ENHYPEN's Jay reacts to comments about the number of members during his birthday live:
"You actually don't care about the situation that is going on, right? You guys keep saying ENHYPEN is 7 or 6, or ENHYPEN is this or ENHYPEN is that, I don't care, ENHYPEN is ENHYPEN. I'm fine, but don't do that to other members, especially at their birthday. I don't want them to feel like that on their birthday, okay? Thinking that is alright, but if you're saying that on someone's birthday it's .. I'm ok with all my fans. Today is a happy birthday for me but I'm really nervous, what if other members would feel depressed in these kind of situations?"
enhypen only changing their layouts/pfp every new era/cb and the fact that they changed their layout now for the first time (even without cb), and them using the same outfit they wore in their melbourne performances (which was their first appearance as a six-member group), feels like they’re telling us that melbourne was their fresh start, redebut and a new beginning.
the members have always been so hardworking and determined in their work as idols, but their melbourne stage felt different. it was full of passion and a renewed sense of purpose, like they were proving something not just to fans, but to themselves. there was a certain intensity in the way they performed. they are more grounded, more united, and more confident.
especially after all the belittling they faced from their own fandom, their stage felt like a statement. there was this quiet confidence in the way they carried themselves, like they didn’t need to say anything because their performance already spoke for them. and it really felt like they were reclaiming their space, showing their growth, and reminding everyone who exactly they are.
and that's also the reason why the members are both subtly and obviously showing their excitement for their future activities.
but sadly, you are twisting and overanalyzing their actions, making them look like a child who don't have a personal decisions saying that they are controlled by their staffs (even tho they are so vocal that they make decisions for themselves), and making them look a liar everytime they release some contents or comments that contradicts your beliefs. as supposed-to-their-fan, you are supposed to support them, am I not right? but the way you all acting right now makes you seem more like antis than the actual antis themselves.
you let the people manipulates your mind and your emotions that you forgot the 6 members who stayed for you.
