@sawyeurism Well the show was a 180 million dollar disaster. It cost as much as 6 seasons of the clone wars. Again, the 8 episodes of Acolyte cost the same as 132 episodes of The Clone Wars. It's not coming back because they already blew the massive budget on 8 terrible episodes of trash

I broke down crying about The Acolyte tonight. I've been grieving privately for days and I needed to let it all out.
This show means more to me than words can say. It made me feel seen as a female Star Wars fan, and as a woman who is taught by society to hide her rage.
and how much did those other projects cost? And what were their ratings after one season? What's that? they cost millions less and did better in the ratings!? It's almost like The Acolyte was terrible and cost boatloads of money. Your solution is to sink even more money into it??
Television shows often need more than 1 season to grow and development. Take a look at Breaking Bad - one of the greatest shows ever, but it took its time to really grip you and needed more than 1 season to do that. The same for The Clone Wars. Season 1 had a number of rough patches, but, with time, it grew into one of the most compelling Star Wars stories of all time. A shame The Acolyte wasnβt given the same opportunity.
