Ms Sadia Tasleem @ITeachStrategy faculty member at Quaid e Azam university and a PhD scholar at the University of British Columbia speaks on how social media activism has been an important medium for information dissemination and mainstreaming. However, the persistence of violence makes activism questionable. There is a need to diversify and sustain our engagement and solidarity at grassroots level. Pakistanis know the history of occupation and while we may not be physically present in Gaza we need to see how we can show solidarity in both the short and long term, for example, by boycotting Israeli products and providing scholarships to Palestinian students. She added that this issue can only be amplified when we also take into consideration social justice at home.

In APLN's new edition of The Pulse, our members @tatsu0409 and @ITeachStrategy reflect on the @BulletinAtomic's decision to set its famous Doomsday Clock to its closest position before midnight ever.

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt, who was reelected yesterday, recently dedicated "every square inch" of the state to Jesus: "[With] the authority that I have as governor, and the spiritual authority and the physical authority that you give me, I claim Oklahoma for you."
What #ISPR is missing is LOGIC and what @Asad_Umar is presenting is pure LOGIC.
Big question raised: "If everyone in their organization works per laws, why do they do Court-Martials" Hence, people shall be able to question them! #SackGeneralFaisal#قاتلوں_پر_ایف_آئی_آر
@kMoizSays@smalinaqvi05 Even though I don't endorse the politics of exclusion based on subjective/questionable criteria of expertise, but even if I take your argument, my concern is that the academia and p/makers are not really free to express dissent. If they do they r marginalized.
@kMoizSays@smalinaqvi05 I am unhappy with what Khan said but the consequences of his statements are not even comparable to the cost we had to pay for the blunders that some Generals made. Kargil being one. I can't trust their judgement and 'expertise.'
@kMoizSays@smalinaqvi05 Being under scrutiny doesn't mean being under the threat of denuclearization. Ironically those who have perpetuated this perception about the threat from the West have always granted access to them.
@smalinaqvi05@SAVoices Just providing the input is not the problem. The problem is controlling the input through controlling the discourse and manufacturing consent. And if you are really interested in understanding the difference, I will be happy to discuss.
I argue that there is an opportunity for Khan to prepare the ground for genuine democracy in Pakistan. And such a struggle would require an informed debate on all issues of national policy including defense spending and nuclear weapons.
New on SAV: "The few statements that Khan has made about nuclear weapons so far only serve to reinforce the military’s control over Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal and by extension nuclear discourse," writes @ITeachStrategy

While I give a lot of credit to confidence building measures between India and Pakistan, I agree that existing CBMs are not enough. Read the latest from @ITeachStrategy on the March missile accident for @koreatimescokr and @APLNofficial

Improving confidence building measures #CBMs between #IndiaPakistan cannot address the challenges the two nuclear armed nations face, especially in light of recent misfiring incidents. Instead, they need to consider how to work towards #NuclearDisarmament.

You have to think that in addition to Ukrainians, the Afghans are also deeply impacted by the Russian invasion, as their plight is pushed out of the spotlight and wealthy aid giving states focus on Eastern Europe instead.
