Block me! block me! You are a thin skinned tool. I responded to your OP with a reasoned argument. Then I saw how you treat people who disagree with you. You are also a peach. And probably don’t tip like you say you do. If you block anyone with a differing opinion, hate to see how you respond to someone who gets your order wrong.
Peachy
That’s not an argument in favor of universal tipping. That’s an argument in favor of paying someone to make you food. Nobody is arguing we shouldn’t do that. The idea that I should pay for someone’s wage for making me food, and then give them additional money to make me said food, is a bit ludicrous. If someone gives me good service, I will tip them for that. They don’t have to do that, that shows an extra level of dedication to the customer, and they should be rewarded for that. But when I pay for a boba and the iPad turns around asking me to give a tip, what exactly am I tipping them for? For keying the item into the same iPad 2 seconds before? Ridiculous.
@EdKrassen What are you talking about? We’ve been talking about inflation ever since Biden drove it to over 9% with schemes to print money and redistribute tax dollars for now reason. But you guys chose not to listen. Now apparently 3% is Armageddon? Go pound sand
@krassenstein Besides his eyes being closed, there is absolutely no body language cues that he fell asleep.
I hate to have to inform you of this, but apparently you are too stupid to know it by now: people aren’t asleep every time they close their eyes.
@TrumpsHurricane I and my family was deported when I was a kid. I have little sympathy for those here illegally who are deported. It is not inhumane to send someone back to their own country when they broke the law to come here.
If you read what he wrote, he’s clearly talking about the effects of your endorsement on your reputation with the professoriate. It is prospective, not retrospective. Your arguments about current trends in membership is utterly meaningless and irrelevant to his comment. But as an activist, the substance will always take a back seat to the message. So your crowing is expected, yet equally troubling.
Perhaps if you were more focused on sustaining a culture of academic rigor and not distracting yourself with pie-in-the-sky political posturing, you’d make more effort to understand people’s comments and not just regurgitate your talking points. But I guess since you’re a purely political organization now, it is actually perfectly on brand. Congrats.
Then you’ve just become another of the myriad leftist/socialist/activist organizations now emerging to destroy the Democrat party. Good riddance. Academic freedom? Nothing will quash it more than when the organization ostensibly representing all professors comes out to tacitly inform them that they are not to step out of line or their jobs may be at risk. But I guess the mask is finally off, and for that we can all be grateful. Let the repair of the rotting institution that is academia finally begin to commence.
@PilotvsMachine@EricSpracklen@VladTheInflator Someone doesn’t understand how low frame rate video can be distorted when run in slow motion. Are you implying that all the video online has been faked and is AI?
@EricSpracklen Is anyone contending that his neck “stopped a .30-06 round? No. It tore his neck open, exposing the insides of his carotid artery. Hence the bleeding out in seconds
@LibbyTard17 Heat waves and wildfires have about as much to do with climate change as they do with prices of goods and services. You might as well have said “Our country is literally burning and the far-left stalinsgaggers are still denying supply and demand exists.” Complete non-sequitur
Most fires are caused by poor land management, often due to policies written by the same people who make the most noise about climate change. Also, heat waves and wildfire incidence have not actually gone up, even as global temperatures have. So cry climate change all you want, none of what you imply is true.
@LearnerKip@GoodVibePolitik You couldn’t school a second grader. I will continue to spend my money how I see fit. You can’t respond to anything, so why should I waste my time on you?
