Extreme Programming
Extreme Programming (XP) is an agile software development methodology focused on iterative development, continuous feedback, and close collaboration between developers and customers.
Lean
Originating from manufacturing, Lean principles aim to maximize customer value while minimizing waste. Lean project management focuses on delivering value quickly and continuously improving processes.
Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM)
Similar to the CPM project management methodology, the CCPM takes CPM a bit further by focusing on the resources required to complete a project rather than time only.
Kanban
Another Agile methodology focused on visualizing work, limiting work in progress (WIP), and optimizing flow. Tasks are represented on a Kanban board and move through different stages from 'To Do' to 'Done'.
Scrum
A framework within the Agile methodology that divides work into time-boxed iterations called sprints, typically lasting 2-4 weeks, where teams deliver potentially shippable increments of the product.
Waterfall
A sequential, linear approach to project management where progress flows in one direction —like a waterfall— through phases such as initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
Agile
An iterative and flexible approach that emphasizes collaboration, customer feedback, and incremental delivery. Agile methodologies include Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme Programming (XP).
Project management methodologies are structured approaches that help project managers effectively plan and execute projects. They provide a set of guidelines and processes to organize tasks, resources, and timelines to deliver project efficiently.
