KommuAssist2 powering up the BYD on a Genting Highland climb. Find me a car that can do this.

Ten months ago, I was asked to “build an automotive grade ADAS from scratch, write the kernel drivers, build the OS, design the PCB, write the firmware and software”. The resources I have was only myself and grit. Here I am with the first beta user
Testing the bit banging LED driver code for ws2812b. Wrote it in kernel space, seems like it’s not hitting the timing requirements… thinking of leveraging SPI next
Got a notification the beta boards are delivered. Excited, I rushed to the office. Sitting here in the office alone at 10.20pm.. haven’t tried plugging in.
I’m pretty scared to be honest, it’s the first time we design such a complex board. We want to launch soon, please work 🙏
How fast can we invalidate our methodology comes from our own wisdom. Wisdom is the breadth of our knowledge. Then again, these knowledges should be fundamental and if possible deep. Do not trust untested assumptions (opinion of others).
To reach a certain state (goal). Directionality matters (methodology). When direction is right, increase the rate of change (focus). Be careful of vector forces of different directions (noise).
The world however is dynamic. So should the goal. Always revisit the direction.
i definitely need to start writing more. i'm currently in the process of fixing up my blog. i'm not really an excessive note-taker, but i think i could set up obsidian to turn my brain dumps into blog posts. writing things down is probably the best way to learn and reinforce.
Builders and Hustlers that work extended hours because work feels like play are gem. If you know one, keep them close. It takes one to beat competition, put many of them together you build an unstoppable bulldozer
Underrated: Learning bite size knowledges from platforms like Twitter rarely makes any huge impact as you’ll be bombarded with another information within seconds. You won’t be forced to think, compare and contrast, which is when actual learnings happen.
@hthieblot Just joined Twitter few days ago, been thinking why am in within this noisy platform when I could be reading about Influence: The psychology of Persuasion. So that I can persuade clients being a technical co-founder. But well, who knows I’d get to make friends with you.
@hazlijohar After meeting Hazli the other day. I can’t stop thinking about the idea of “real time accounting”. The idea of a snapshot of a real time balanced account anytime I want. Sounds like the holy grail of accounting. Will keep observing what cynco will become
