Kia ora #gdite whanau. I have an admin question. Do your organizations have guidelines about record keeping if you use social media. What happens with student complaint and requirement to have records of interactions?
@musicalmiss1 I think one of my problems comes from the fact that Moodle is the base for our courses and the logical place to put links is there. I never hand out bits of paper in class. I can think of great things I could do with younger learners / different subjects.
@brendonnaki@Donnis00937462 My nephew who is in 2nd year at university has stopped taking his laptop to class and doesn't allow himself to use his phone because the distraction is too hard to manage. Many of his friends do the same.
@musicalmiss1 I tried out a QR code too - linked to the answers for a group task I set and linking to a video they could watch for extra input. Good learning for me but I could have put the answers on the board or in ppt. Did I add anything?
@Donnis00937462@ENteaching101@gwynttall And it's a self motivating task - the reward is making the video - rather than an external reward which can ultimately backfire and reduce reading
