This month, we were honoured to have legendary musicians Matt Molloy and Cormac Begley (@CormacBegley) play pieces from the Irish Traditional Music Archive (@ITMADublin), and to learn more from Director of Creative Development Seán Potts about ITMA’s incredible work in mapping Irish music across the USA.  🇺🇸 ☘️ 🎶

We loved having a full house, and thank you to everyone who joined us. One guest commented “it transported me back home to Ireland.” We hope to see you all at the next First Friday in June!

ITMA is deeply saddened to learn of the death of the outstanding singer Dolores Keane. Dolores absorbed a rich family musical tradition to pursue a highly successful career both as a solo and collaborative artist. She was awarded the Gradam Saoil TG4 in 2022. 📷Maurice GunningTG4

Dónal Maguire is the latest interview featured in our Queally's series. A singer, mandolin and tenor banjo player, Dónal originates from Drogheda, Co. Louth, but has lived in England ever since emigrating at the age of 15.
