Football isn’t even real you know.
There's no need to be heated. I am actually alive in a warm house right now. Alhamdulilah. I can go eat food with my family or book a vacation to get away from all this nonsense.
no version of messi should ever get to compared by any generation players ever again it looks extremely disrespectful to this sport there will no next messi or passed the torch bullshit happening to anyone lol
This team isn’t winning the UCL this season. Let’s just bring Messi back in January for a 6 month loan and get a farewell campaign. It will bring more happiness than watching whatever this is.
a better CB can help but honestly its just this system. Cubarsi looked perfectly fine at the world cup and he comes back to Barca and he is back on every highlight reel
Gerard Martin made a very excuseable mistake for the 1st goal but more than made up for it in the 2nd half with some key tackles on Bellingham and Mbappe.
But what Cubarsi did at the end was inexcuseable. Keep the same energy for both players and be objective.
Thank God Yamal won't win the Ballon d'Or this year.
First, he doesn't deserve it. Second, if he's already acting like this without winning one, imagine what his ego would look like after winning it in a season where he hasn't dominated the way he should.
Nobody wants this kid to succeed at Barcelona and become a club legend more than I do. I've always believed in his talent, and I genuinely want him to reach the very top. However, the treatment he's receiving nowadays isn't doing him any favors. At 19 years old, you simply cannot spend entire games walking around while the other 10 players do all the dirty work for you, especially when you're dropping stinkers in the biggest matches.
Diomande in El Clasico was a perfect example of what I'm talking about. Yes, he still has a lot to prove. Yes, he has achieved absolutely nothing compared to Yamal, and Yamal is 10 times more talented than him. But talent alone isn't enough. If you can't make the difference offensively in every game, then you have to contribute defensively. If the opposition is doing an excellent job shutting you down, then you need to show the same commitment when it's your turn to defend.
We cannot keep having Diomande and Cucurella, with an additional midfielder constantly doubling up on Yamal, while our own right-back is getting absolutely cooked in 2v1 situations because Yamal doesn't want to track back.
How is that fair to the rest of the team? This is on Flick too. Why should everyone else have to run twice as much to compensate for one player, especially when that player isn't even delivering offensively? This is a HUGE issue, and it has cost us dearly in our last two games and in every big game in the past 2 seasons. You cannot demand superstar treatment without accepting superstar responsibility.
I want Yamal to become a Barcelona legend, but that doesn't mean he should be immune to criticism. He's 19, not 35. There's absolutely no excuse for that lack of defensive effort, regardless of how talented he is.
That being said, it's still early in the season. We're still top of the league, and losing games now isn't the end of the world. In fact, I'd much rather see these problems exposed now so we have enough time to fix them before the biggest games of the season, especially the Champions League knockout rounds from March onwards.
However, the most important thing is that we actually LEARN from our mistakes, unlike the last two seasons, when we kept repeating the same shit over and over again without fixing the underlying problems.
Flick and the players need to wake up and take responsibility. Fix your shit! You have an entire week to prepare, analyze what went wrong, address these issues, and come back stronger.
I want to see another winning streak, the same hunger, intensity, and mentality that made us so difficult to beat at the beginning of the season. Get us out of this hole before it becomes something much worse.
There's still plenty of time to turn things around, but only if we stop making excuses and actually fix what's wrong.
Words can't describe how disappointed I am. We had everything we needed to win. Home game, motivation from PSG L, chance to go 9 points clear, Courtois out injured, washed Madrid side. And we couldn't even pull out a draw. Embarrassing.
I’m sorry, but we aren’t ready to compete with the big boys anytime soon with this current defensive roster.
Gerard Martín is having a bad game, but I can’t even ask for him to be subbed off because we have no other options on the bench. This is bad.
Mbappe Balon d'Or would be a disgrace to the sport but I do hope Kane wins it tomorrow. Lamine has to be humbled one way or another. Forget about his performances, his body language has been sickening these past two games.
Every aspect of Barça’s performance needs to be addressed. The defence has been a major problem, but the players (especially up-front) can’t keep wasting chance after chance either.
They’ve repeatedly failed to take their opportunities, and it’s cost them.
Broadly speaking, the result is irrelevant. The lessons from it, however, are absolutely invaluable.
—Lessons for Deco and Co: invest in the backline!!!!
—Lessons for Flick: Hansi… I love you, but some of this minute management makes no sense.
Given how dominant we’ve been this far, in no world should the likes of Pedri and Rodri be fatigued to the point of not being able to complete the game. It’s ridiculous.
—Lessons for the team: We can score, create, and retain possession against anybody. Good. Take that. But the psychology is still off.
PSG, proven winners at this stage, have an edge and belief about them in adverse circumstances that I’m yet to see from us.
It’s all well and good when you’re better than 95% of the teams you face, but what happens when a team can match you? That’s when the psychological of digging deep and refusing to give in comes to the fore.
We lack that.
