Occasionally, I take a look back to see how they're doing (I -might- be a little salty), and two years later, they're still searching for a candidate. I can't help but feel like it deserves a Julia Roberts moment. So y'all, hang in there. You got this.

If you're feeling low on your job search, I recently found a google doc from mid-fellowship when I was getting hot and heavy with a smaller program looking for someone to build their brain injury program. It was full of ideas, and I was really excited.

This was my chance to really create something, and I couldn't wait. Long story short, they up and ghosted me. I was pretty down, but kept looking, and went on to get offers from some top institutions in the country. I got my favorite, and am really happy with where I work now.

It is your (our) job to be a talented history taker.

Whether that means coaxing out details, teasing out sensitive facts, explicitly asking relevant points, collecting collateral stories, or using whatever means necessary to finagle together appropriate language translation for the deaf-mute-Swahili patient…

2) why are "hands free" Georgians always on their phones in the car?
3) why do Georgians not use their turning signals?
4) why do G-s consistently drive under the speed limit
5) why do G-s never use their horns?

@TheAndrewWoods Inevitable family convo on patient you don't know. Shooting from the hip sight unseen can be embarrassing or worse. May be obvious, but I think I learned some of these lessons the hard way. Regardless, you got this!
