Even with a job and hobbies I'm still gonna wanna speak to someone I'm dating at the very least once for the day. And seeing my text being ignored all day while they on social media would annoy me as well. Y'all tooooooo nonchalant for me
You need boredom. A lot of it. Start by going on walks without music. No stimulation. No distractions of any kind. If you learn to sit with your own thoughts, for long enough, in time they will start serving you. You'll start having ideas once again. You'll start developing an extreme sense of clarity that will shift you into the next stage of your life. All by being bored, which is pretty insane.
Yes, in fact, I do think the guy flipping burgers at McDonald’s should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That’s kind of the whole point of having a job and I can’t believe this is considered a radical position for me to take.
Unpopular opinion: Asking somebody on Pop the Balloon if they were raised in a two-parent household as a way to judge whether they would be a good partner lacks emotional intelligence. A child has ZERO control over whether a parent dies, leaves, becomes abusive, gets incarcerated
Remote work changed my life more than my salary ever did. The money obviously matters, but the real luxury is no commute, quiet mornings, midday walks, dinner plans after work, and actually having enough energy left to enjoy a life outside of my job.
