The blonde on the far left and the one sitting in front survived after refusing to return to their office after the first tower was hit. All staff in that tower were instructed to return, and most died. The rest in the photo died either from smoke inhalation or the collapse. If I remember correctly their office was above the impact zone and they had no hope of rescue or evacuation.
Absolutely heart shattering.
