I have been kind of private about my new venture. But i figured i may as well share it here along with everywhere else.
When I visited my team in Indonesia last summer, I noticed that their payment system is disjointed from their point of sales. They don’t have Square or anything remotely similar (yes, there are some companies trying) which really democratized simple payments in the United States.
We started exploring different channels where we could help build software and integrated payments. One market that is relatively untapped still is the beauty industry. Salons, barbershops, spas, etc.
We launched Kasera publicly May 1. We are strictly serving Indonesia. Kasera covers the full spectrum of shop management for the beauty industry. As we try to drive a deep wedge into this market, eventually we may expand to serve more markets. For now, just Indonesian beauty.
I am super excited about this project. I have been closely tied to Stripe for a long time and seeing the potential for a payments platform really excites me. With AI tools we are building rapidly and also deploying some AI based shop management features.
Although i know my follower base is small and not Indonesian for now… if you’d like to visit our site and give feedback I’d appreciate it! Obviously this post will stay up for a long time so… whenever you see it, hit me up! Our site is https://t.co/HZrgryCdNf
Anyway i will keep posting updates about the project and hopefully we will gain some good tractions into the future.
@toddsaunders Could you imagine the disaster it would be if every customer contributed their feedback to a software product and it was immediately built? This is why PMs exist. Not everything should get through the gate.
@Zoozo2025 It's not that shocking is it? Robots and AI will eventually be able to defeat humans at everything, but no one really cares... human vs human is where it's at.
@KaiXCreator Built the core of my new app with vibe code but have had some parts that required more careful attention. I still vibe code some features but typically just those that don’t involve payment flows.
