In case you were unable to catch it, our friends from across the Ubisoft community did a round table discussion about the ongoing abuse issues going on in Ubisoft and the gaming industry, very excellent discussion and perspective. Please watch it here: https://t.co/iWLKtrSegk
#ACSisterhood is proud to join members from various Ubisoft communities in the fan event #UbiCommunityRoundTable to discuss ongoing issues of abuse and toxicity in the games industry. We want to spread awareness, exchange opinions and discuss how fans can support those affected.
@Angi_AN from Ghost Recon and @SixKeysUnlocked ,@Blutkatze and @kulpreetvirdi from Assassin's Creed.
Looking forward to hearing from some of my favorite content creators on the issues that are affecting, employees, players and creators for some of our favorites games.
Looking forward to a round table today by many of Ubisoft’s community leaders across multiple games discussing the abuse issues going on in the gaming industry. The livestream is Friday August 6th at 11pm PDT on Twitch @ https://t.co/ROW83Nkurc
You can also catch the replay @ https://t.co/phFzwSk6Er
Some of the round table guests are Star Players and creators from around the Ubi community, @Dulcamarra from Rainbow 6 Siege, @englishybutter from For Honor, @veetwentythree from Far Cry, @Agent_Mab from The Division..
I remember when Ubisoft did an apology video for AC Unity a year later. Would love to see them do something similar and address last summer and what they are doing to ensure a safer culture moving forward. #acsisterhood
Just a tweet of appreciation for @Melusaaste, because she does a lot of work that goes unseen.
I always admired her talent and personality, she’s always been consistent, direct, fair, reasonable.
Someone who listens and tries to help, a friend.
@Add68102656 I can only assume you misread or misunderstood because im sure you don’t prioritize MTX critiques of Ubisoft over their abuse allegations.
I want to echo something going around #HoldUbisoftAccountable
This is a Ubisoft problem, but this is also a problem that primarily affects women who work on these games and creators who promote them.
Please uplift our female Ubisoft friends and creators as well!
#ACSisterhood
@Add68102656 This is a Ubisoft issue though..? I guess I’m mainly confused by your criticism. There’s been a lot of speaking out by mentors today and a lot of accounts running around trying to criticize them for how they stand up for a the victims of abuse at Ubisoft.. it doesn’t make sense.?
@Add68102656 I see many creators uniting around this problem .. and then throw away Twitter accounts accusing and harassing people who even dare to mention anything related to victims of abuse about the very issue they claim to care about? Or do you care more about your precious AC parkour?
@Add68102656 Do you not see endorsement? I would challenge you to see what makes you so upset about the idea of uplifting female Ubisoft employees and creators when they have been victims of the abuse? I'm confused? What's the “problem” from your perspective then huh..?
We got the issue trending. We brought it up together. It would have been great to do so without the subtweeting, without the finger pointing. The hate. It’s nearly impossible to forget the resentment that’s been building up for months, in some cases for years, but please. Try.
I also put up the podcast with @itsJordanDoes on my second channel so you can hear our in depth discussion on the topic & why we hope Ubisoft does better (check timestamps to skip to the subject): https://t.co/V1wsCZxHBa
#HoldUbisoftAccountable
As a reminder, #ACSisterhood also calls for accountability on the part of Ubisoft, at the same time as highlighting marginalised voices and asking for better representation. So don’t believe the false narrative that is spreading that ACS does not ask for accountability.
