Today my grade 6/7s at @GGreenawayEle had a topic sentence challenge. Teams had 15 minutes to write as many interesting topic sentences they could for the 6 topics. Congratulations group 6 for your 25 points! #sd36learns#surreyschools
@Surrey_Schools students in Mrs Strand’s grade 6/7 class learned how to make stop motion animated stories as our last day of school before winter break #sd36learn
@DustiBowling thank you so much for the autograph plates! I can’t wait to put them in my books… just have to wait for someone to be finished reading my other books so I can put them in! My grade 6/7s are gonna lose it when they see these! 🥳🥳🥳

Today was @GGreenawayEle ‘s Terry Fox Run. Div 3’s grade 6/7’s had been working on learning about Terry in our Reading Groups, so today we watched a short video and talked about prior knowledge, new knowledge, and character traits! #sd36learns@Surrey_Schools
@geniushour I’ve done it for 7 years now and just started my new class on their 1st term project!! Just did the 1st lesson from the book (however I noticed a couple of the shorturls don’t work anymore). Love genius hour!
Did you vote? My class and a couple of others from @GGreenawayEle. I love teaching about elections… I just wish I would have had more than a week to do so. @Surrey_Schools@studentvote
I loved multi-curriculum lessons! I have been doing stem challenges with the grade 6/7s this week. The students had to make a new home for Fred the Flamingo using only provided objects. You should have heard these houses’ backstories! #sd36learn@Surrey_Schools
Last day of school means “McNabb Olympics” awards day for my grade 6/7 class at @GGreenawayEle in celebration of our Ancient Greek style Olympic Games they planned, organized, taught, and played! Congratulations! #sd36learn#sd36learns
