rich kids being able to do art for a living may be a reflection of their privilege but it seems to me like a reflection of the fact that a human that doesn't have to worry about money will often choose art. everyone is an artist until rent is due. i wish we all had that right :)
Very few school shooters have gotten the death penalty. Yet the U.S. is trying to charge Luigi Mangione so he gets the death penalty for killing one man. You can kill dozens of kids and get a lesser sentence because their lives don’t matter as much as a CEO’s. That’s America.
The fact that Sesame Workshop is having to do a full court press fundraising effort because we as a country don’t understand the concept of doing things for the public good combined with David Zaslav being the poster child for why CEOs are worthless is making my blood boil.
Donation bins and thrift stores do not exist for your "decluttering" needs! Before you donate that garbage bag full of stuff you don't want, ask yourself: would someone else want this?
if y'all can't write an essay, complete an assignment or do any basic skill without using AI i will be judging you. there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to do that yourself
Just wanna take this opportunity to remind people that Fa Mulan is the best Disney princess.
I hate how they gave frozen the credit for being the first Disney movie where the princess didn’t need a man.
Fa Mulan went to fucking war and saved her country. Fucking GOAT.
Normalize shaming and making people feel uncomfortable. Your married brother brings his side piece to the bbq, say something. Your homie isn’t taking care of his kids, cut them off. We can’t be enabling such poor behaviour. Holding people accountable begins with relationship.
I need people to realize that rock is a Black genre. Its roots are deeply tied to the innovations of Black artists like Chuck Berry, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, and Little Richard. It’s not about ‘joining’ the genre, it’s about reclaiming a legacy that was whitewashed.
i'm afraid the young black girls don't have a young, beautiful, strong, funny, motivated black tv actress to grow up watching like we did with True Jackson VP, That's So Raven, Proud Family, Sister, Sister, etc 🥺
i really fucking despise this asinine belief that live action is inherently superior to animation, or makes something more of a “real movie”. hollywood keeps pushing it and people keep eating it up. this is nothing more than an insult to a great film and the medium it was made in
I hate when non-Blacks say Black Americans allowed other ethnic groups to get ahead in America & didn’t do ish as if The Tulsa race massacre, Lake Lanier flooding, the stealing of Seneca Village, the Colfax Massacre in Louisiana, the Elaine Massacre in Arkansas, the burning of the MOVE movement in Philly, etc. didn’t occur. On top of redlining, oppression, racism, discrimination, welfare and all the other things that set us back.
we lose another hour of sunlight this sunday. for people w/ the winter blues, take your vitamin D, wake up earlier, more soups, more root vegetables, more journaling, more audio journaling, more exercise, and more therapy.
I voted for her when I voted for Biden and she was on the ticket as Vice President, whose main job is to step in if the President steps down.
Hope this clears up one of the most basic principles of American civics.
I tried to tell y’all the reason people hate real rap nowadays is because they don’t have the comprehension skills needed to keep up. Reading is supposed to teach you context clues that you can use even when you’re not reading.
