I get your point, but that can extend to any videogame not just Gta VI. In fairness, I know I shouldn't do this comparison because Gta 6 is so anticipated and everyone will be talking about it, but at the end of the day, even if it's now, even if it's 3 months after official release, there will be spoilers, it's inevitable (especially through word of mouth as you said). People will finish the game when it's released in about 2 nanoseconds and then spoil it online, so to me it is basically the same.
