@ricardoalatorre@thekevinmcp You'd be surprised to hear it, but I've seen these self-report studies go higher in income and it actually dips again. People making $400k will tell you they're middle class and say "well it's not like we're MILLIONAIRES."
@KiritDawda@martyrdison Exactly what I'm thinking. These are the careers least likely to be hit by AI and brain drain, community colleges and trade schools are the way to go for all but the most hands-on university degrees like engineering and biology.

@lydiakauppi I mean I get it, but housing has never been less affordable. 2008 saw a similar spike, but home prices are even greater than median pay nowadays
@nhjonesy@live_free_603 I walked in with a pre-approval from C1. They told me to fill out some paperwork & "just see" if they could better it, and I repeatedly asked if it would impact my credit score and they said it wouldn't. Their deal stunk.
2 months later, ~20pt drop for a hard credit check.
