How can you have so much potential and still bury it?
How can light not shine?
Or in the words of a piece I recently wrote:
How can you be stuck in a cage you have the keys to?

onto a rusted roof where it would drum a thousand tiny songs. Perhaps onto a leaf, a windshield, or the palm of a child reaching into the rain. But wherever it landed, it seemed destined to do one thing:
Splash.
Today, I saw a puddle of water on the road. Wheels, tyres, slippers, and feet trudged over it relentlessly. The puddle, helplessly, did nothing. It did not protest. It did not flee. It simply splished and splashed across the coal tar. Every passing tyre shattered it into a
it looking back. Soon, the sun would come and dry it up. Lift it from the road and return it to the heavens. The clouds would gather again, dark and heavy, and once more it would be cast down to earth. Perhaps next time it would fall into a river. Perhaps into the ocean. Perhaps
Today, she asked me if I loved her. In response, I asked her if gravity loved the stars; if the roots loved the tree; if the sun loved the dawn; and if the moon loved the night. She said the moon belonged to the night, regardless. I smiled and told her, “exactly.”
Today, I stared at her, and she stared back.
Then she gave a little smile, then I stepped back.
She had hit me with a kiss, but she had done it with her eyes.

cause I know you always praying
Today, I looked at her lips and thought, “If this is death, then I shall gladly lock my lips with it. I would bind my lips with her’s and let her take me away to the clouds, or beyond. Whichever it is, if I do meet the Father in the heavens, I shall thank Him for having let me
Today,….
What do you want?
Where are you going?
What do you need to do to get there?
What is stopping you from getting there?
How can you stop what’s stopping?
Just do it.
Today.
Love is death.
Death is love.
To love is to die.
But to die is to live.
Yet, to live is to give.
And to give is to love.
So, love.
Love to give.
Give to love.
Today.
