I have Breast Cancer. This week’s news has been a whirlwind of doctors appointments, a flurry of research and a lot of time reflecting. The silver lining is, before surgery, I get to go to Tableau Conference in Vegas for 1 last party before the fight!

TC Memories- the first conference I attended was the DC one. My first thought upon seeing so many enthusiastic Tableau employees was, what are they drinkinking... I quickly found out and have been drunk on Tableau ever since. #datafamsweepstakes @tableau

@acotgreave My girls are 17 and 18. They resist when I put something ilder on but they get sucked in everytime. I trick them into whats good for them. 😉

@acotgreave Short Circuit, Gremlins, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ghost Busters, Star Wars, Neverending Story, Princess Bride, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, Willow, The Last Unicorn, Superman and Indiana Jones were some of my kids favorites.

@dikayodata Tableau Conference this year occurs on my birthday (Nov 14th) so I decided to treat myself to the experience of being there, even though I couldn’t get it approved.

@dikayodata @tableau Its a possibility. I have really been wanting to put together a presentation for Tableau Conference someday. We are doing great things for community engagement at my company, but even though I am a Tableau Evangelist, I am a bit on the introverted side.

I love Tableau and Tableau Conference so much that even though I was not approved to attend this year, I bought a ticket to Vegas and a hotel on my own dime and took vacation, just to see my data fam @tableau #DataFamSweepstakes

My data lightbulb moment happened the first time I saw the IronViz championship where I realized, I might not be able to do it as fast as them or under that kind of pressure but it was doable to produce that caliber of visualization. Absolutely amazing to see. #data19sweepstakes
