A man in Colorado assaulted and nearly killed a random person while he was leaving a bar, and was charged with attempted murder. He's been accused of additional crimes including burglary and menacing with a weapon.
But Colorado's court system has ruled he is "not competent to stand trial," and since the state mental hospital is currently full, he's simply been released back into the wild, where he will eventually attack and kill some innocent person (and then, presumably, will suddenly be "competent" for trial).
This isn't some accident or natural disaster. This is a choice. Colorado judges are choosing to let violent lunatics roam free rather than be locked up like they deserve, and Colorado lawmakers are refusing to close the loopholes that let this happen.
Democrats care more about depraved criminals and predators than about innocent people.
