Are those happy tears or sad tears? Everything. I am feeling it all. Joy. Pride. Nostalgia. Excitement. Maybe a little sadness for how fast they grow. But most importantly, a whole lot of love. It's only been 18yrs and think of all she's done... and all she'll do. #graduation
So... There are fans at the @ECHL Kelly Cup game 6 wearing @StLouisBlues gear... are they there cheering for their "local" team @kc_mavericks? Or their "little brothers"/affiliate @FL_Everblades? 🤔
Unreal! Blades clawed their way back from a 4-1 deficit, scoring two goals just 1 min 24 secs apart. Then tied it with a crazy goal at only 13 secs left in the third. Wowowow! Now onto overtime! One more, boys- it's all we ever asked - one goal at a time! Let's finish this!!
🎓 What happened to the wonderful adventures; the places I had planned for us to go? Well some of that we did, but most we didn't, & why I just don't know. Slipping thru my fingers all the time I try to capture every minute the feeling in it slipping thru my fingers all the time
The answer waiting at the end of an “I feel” sentence is going to be radically different from the answer waiting at the end of an “I think” sentence.
The “I think” answer is the one their parents would approve of.
The “I feel” answer is the one that’s actually true.
Respect grows from connection. It does not grow from compliance.
Remember, children listen to who they feel safe with. Obedience fades when the fear fades, but respect lasts because the relationship will last.

Respect is mutal, obedience is one-sided. Respect is a relationship, obedience is about power. Respect is communication, obedience is silence. Some of what we called respect is actually fear. "But I wasn't scared"
