You will know you are healed if you can forgive without pain, without bitterness, and without reopening what once hurt you.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting it means remembering without the wound controlling you.
Maturity comes when you learn to forgive without reopening the wound, to let go without needing closure, and to move forward without carrying resentment.
It’s choosing peace over pride, growth over grudges, and healing over being right.
