Sampath Bank, Sri Lanka customers lost 20 million LKR to a Ukrainian OTP scam last month. The irony is that four Sampath Bank employees were among the victims.

Someone calls you to ask for these OTPs. Now, they have suspended several online features.

First, these vendors in Pettah try to scam a foreign couple asking for 9800 rupees for a pair of rubber slippers, and when they refuse and walk away, another vendor tries to stop them and demand that they delete the video after their scam didn't go as planned.

Dear Minister .@kanchana_wij this is a photo taken at around 7.00 am at Colombo 08. Around 30 street lights were kept on with the hot sun☀️ in the background. I'm not sure if they are controlled manually or automated but it's an absolute waste of public funds. We have had multiple electricity tariff hikes recently and we pay them!
As a person who is managing the public health care with a bear minimum this is not a sight I would like to see.
Please ask the relevant authorities not to waste public funds. TIA 🙏
