Kalonzo Demands Accountability for Ebola Funds, Warns Against Foreign Interference in 2027 Elections

Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) and #TheUkomboziAlliance Party Leader H.E. Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has intensified his coastal mobilisation tour, calling for accountability in Ebola preparedness funds, protection of electoral integrity and urgent action to address the challenges facing Kenyan farmers.

On the second day of the tour, Kalonzo, accompanied by DP Party Leader Hon. @HonJBMuturi WPF Deputy Party Leader Hon. @MohaJichoPevu , National Chairman Hon. @HonJamleckKamau, Secretary General Sen. Shakila Abdalla, Party Spokesperson Adv. @NjiruAdv and other leaders, visited Kilifi and Mombasa counties.

The team began in Kilifi Town, where Kalonzo officially opened the @DPKenyaOfficial County Office before proceeding to public rallies in Kisauni and Shanzu, Mombasa County.

On Ebola preparedness, @skmusyoka accused the government of negligence and demanded a transparent account of funds allocated to preparedness and response efforts. He said he had spoken with the US Ambassador about following up on financial assistance directed to the @MOH_Kenya , insisting that corruption and negligence must not cost Kenyans their lives.

On the 2027 General Election, Kalonzo warned against any attempt to bring foreign nationals from Uganda or Somalia to participate in Kenya's elections. He maintained that only eligible Kenyan citizens should vote and called for the protection of the country's electoral laws. He also rejected calls to suspend political rallies.

On agriculture, he criticised rising production costs and the difficulties facing farmers, questioning proposals to introduce buffalo milk instead of addressing the challenges affecting dairy production.

Kalonzo also urged eligible Kenyans to prepare for the IEBC's planned mass voter registration exercise in November and register ahead of the 2027 elections.

The WPF leader reaffirmed the party's commitment to strengthening its grassroots structures across the Coast region, thanking residents of Kilifi and Mombasa for their warm reception.

The tour underscored the opposition's call for accountability, constitutionalism, unity and solutions to Kenya's economic challenges.
