Extremist Gaurav Singh Rajput made offensive remarks about the Holy Quran and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), demanded a ban on the Quran, and recorded a video of himself doing so, which he then circulated on social media.

Uttarakhand: Bhupesh Joshi, the state convener of the ‘Kali Sena’ organization, reached Jama Masjid Thano along with administrative officials and warned #Aseem in a threatening tone to vacate the #mosque by June 1.

Joshi dismissed their documents, saying valid papers would have prevented action, and suggested approaching the High Court or Supreme Court. Senior officials present remained silent spectators.

Uttarakhand: Regarding the case related to Jama Masjid Thano, Bhupesh Joshi, the state convener of the ‘Kali Sena’ organization, reached the mosque along with administrative officials and, in a threatening tone, told the responsible person present there, Aseem,
“The mosque should be vacated by June 1. It was supposed to be vacated today itself, but considering Eid, a request was made to the administration to allow people to celebrate the festival. By June 1, there should be no items in the mosque and the board of ‘Jama Masjid Thano’ should also be removed.”

During this, Aseem said that they have documents of the mosque, to which Bhupesh Joshi replied, “If there were documents, the administration would not take action. For this, go to the High Court or Supreme Court.”

At the time of the incident, senior administrative officials were also present, but they remained silent spectators.
