A better question is: why wouldn't an American president want to reform or even dismantle agencies that have grown bloated, inefficient, or overreaching? If an institution is failing the people it's supposed to serve, should we blindly defend it or demand accountability? FEMA has botched disaster responses, the Department of Education has done little to improve public schooling, the IRS is infamous for overreach, and the FBI has been caught in political scandals. Maybe the real question is, why are you so eager to protect broken systems instead of asking if they still serve the American people?
