Today, I worked with my Equalithon team to create a Chatbot with Salesforce integration. We reached a small hurdle--trying to get the login enabled, but I look forward to meeting everyone tmr with our own research!

Learned what a service object is and how to write one. My Ruby is a bit rusty so today was a good wake up call to review Ruby syntax. Also learned how to write a MySQL query in Ruby! Annnd wrote RSpec tests so we’re really practicing TDD. 😎

Writing more Detox tests today. I think my group can all agree that @LeoNatan has helped us more than he’ll ever know. Still have a lot of blockers. Trying to find a work around for iOS system alerts and testing text inputs from a Google API. We’ll figure something out. 🙂

Today I refactored some RSpec tests and installed Detox to prepare for some e2e testing tomorrow. Very excited to write more tests, especially for the frontend of the application!

Woo hoo. Another day of RSpec testing. We got through so many model specs (20 some?) this week even though the expectation was only 1-2 tests PER person for the ENTIRE week. Can’t wait for when we’ll be individually assigned tickets for a specific task!

Day 4 at the internship! Did some mobbing today. Got through a lot of tests for a single model. Also got a better understanding of the app’s database. I think we have a better understanding of the user interaction.
