As an upper-caste Indian, I support equality, but what about cases where an SC/ST law is allegedly misused against someone who hasn't discriminated against anyone?

Should a person's caste determine who is believed and who is automatically treated as guilty?

SC/ST communities should never have had to fight for the equality they were entitled to from birth.

Caste hierarchy is one of the most poisonous ideas India has carried for centuries: judging human beings by the family they were born into.

And when Hindutva politics is used to defend, excuse or deepen that hierarchy, it becomes even more dangerous for social equality.

A country cannot call itself truly developed while millions are still expected to accept inequality as their place in society.

No caste privilege. No birth-based hierarchy. No religious justification for discrimination.

India needs equal citizens, not a society divided by birth.

This evening, I met a chaman chutiya andhbhakt near a mall. We somehow started talking about the economy and GDP. This lavda was passionately defending the economy, telling me how everything is growing and India is doing great.

Then we walked into a jeans store.

The same genius economist couldn’t even afford to buy a pair of jeans. He looked at the price and told the shopkeeper, “It’s too expensive. My income isn’t enough.”

Inke baap ka bhosda, this is what happens when you defend GDP on twitter but face the real economy at the checkout counter. 🤬

If the govt starts taxing or penalising people for protecting their savings in gold,while the wealthy have countless ways to protect their money, thats not reform. Its a system where the middle class keeps getting squeezed harder, while the privileged stay protected.

1) Billionaires in India will push the government to declare gold an unproductive asset.

2) Government will put some new type of tax on Gold: to move money from Gold into banks. Call it penalty tax.

3) This moves "savings" in Gold to bank deposits.

Banks take the money give to cronies to fund their adventures and sub-par products.

4) People holding gold in "virtual" format would pay some kind of holding/transaction/closing tax to accelerate this movement.

5) Example: SGB's were retrospectively taxed. The spot prices of virtual gold can be moved with government's policies.

If this is not done: more money will flow to Gold.
This creates a currency weakening problem:-

INR is already aggressively falling. With UPI's bad handling now: we have already given an indication to businesses "move towards cash".

This creates a natural flow to RE/Gold. This further weakens currency (people save in gold, not INR).

You'll benefit by either buying gold in physical gold (this prevents you against currency depreciation) or investing in foreign currencies (Eg. buying US Stocks).

Sooner you understand, the better it is.
