All the popular "AI" right now are LLMs, they excel at doing language related tasks (Writing emails for instance). At its heart its just an algorithm that predicts the next word in the sequence, MFs out here thinking Ex Machina level AI is just around the corner.
The “skill issue” crowd genuinely thinks that finding semi-reliable derivations of “commands” fed into an LLM qualify as some sort of mastery over the technology.
