🏉 Nottingham Rugby Club launches fundraiser for flood-damaged clubhouse and pitch
#WestBridgford#Nottingham
£50,000 is required to continue training and matches at the Lady Bay ground.
The club says that their insurance is not going to cover the damage caused by recent flooding.
The club said in a statement on the fundraiser page:
Nottingham Rugby need your help at a very difficult time.
‘The severe flooding of our site at Lady Bay has left damage to our pitches, clubhouse and training facilities.
‘We urgently need financial help to enable us to reinstate our facilities to provide Championship Rugby matches, community training facilities and private events.
‘Due to being on a floodplain, the insurance available to the club will not cover the costs incurred of the flooding. Hence we are asking for extra financial help.
‘We’re calling on the local rugby community to support us through these unprecedented times for the club. Your club needs you.’

Munition workers at National Shell Filling Factory No6, Chilwell, #Nottingham, 1917. Chemicals used during shell production turned many women’s skin yellow in colour, earning them the nickname 'canary girls'. An explosion tore through the depot in 1918 killing 139 & injuring 250.
If you think the doors to our new ‘Hypersense’ screens in #Beeston look fantastic - we do but we're biased - wait until you get inside!
Giant screens, 4K laser projection and @Dolby#Atmos surround sound mean you can really immerse yourself in the whole experience!

A host of #nffc greats including Martin O'Neill, Nigel Clough, @AndyReidXI and @bignorms have signed up for the Samantha Birtles Trophy on Saturday June 27 at @Basfordutdfc, with Garry Birtles grateful to all involved 👇
Can you retweet & spread the word for this game please. Garry is trying very hard to raise as much money as he can for the hospice in aid of his terminally ill wife Samantha. Your help & support would be greatly appreciated. Thanks 👍🏻
