As an adult, you're going to get the urge to return to hobbies, like reading, that you used to enjoy as a kid... it is very important that you do so, and start doing things that bring you joy again.
One of my college professors once told us, “Enjoy your day, go out and have fun but once you get back home, study for only 2 hours.” He insisted that doing just that would place you in a completely different league.
Not many people realize how profound that advice really is.
Be the one who reaches out. Text first. Call first. Plan first. Initialize first. Most people wait to be chosen. Be the chooser.
Connection requires initiative. Friendship requires effort. Love requires action. Stop waiting to be picked. Start picking. Initiative is attractive.
HOW TO LOOK YOUNGER
1. Don’t smoke - Smoking accelerates collagen breakdown and wrinkles. This is one of the strongest aging factors.
2. Lift weights 2–4x per week - trength training preserves muscle, bone density, posture, and metabolic health, all strongly linked to youthful appearance.
3. Eat mostly whole foods - A diet rich in vegetables, fruit, protein, and healthy fats supports skin elasticity and reduces inflammation.
4. Don’t fear all seed oils (avoid ultra-processed foods instead) - There’s no solid evidence that normal intake of seed oils causes aging. The real issue is highly processed, inflammatory diets.
5. Train your core (but train your whole body)- Core strength improves posture. Good posture alone can make you look years younger.
6. Walk 10,000 daily- Low-intensity movement improves circulation, insulin sensitivity, and skin health.
7. Wear sunscreen - UV exposure is the #1 external cause of visible skin aging (photoaging).
8. Sleep 7–9 hours - Skin repair, growth hormone release, and collagen production peak during deep sleep.
9. Stay hydrated - Hydration affects skin appearance short-term, but overall diet and sleep matter more long-term.
10. Use a simple skincare routine- Cleanse, moisturize, protect (SPF). Consistency beats expensive products.
Bonus: Low stress levels and social connection are strongly linked to slower biological aging.
Looking younger isn’t about hacks. It’s about long-term habits.
Please get back to doing puzzles, sudoku, board games, crosswords, word search. Read long novels and watch long form videos.
Seeing my students and even my age-mates uncomfortable being cognitively unentertained is... something. We’re losing patience with thinking deeply.
I remember the day I decided to stop acting broke in an abundant universe. My bank account said one thing, but I chose to feel rich anyway. I tipped extra, ordered the dessert, breathed like someone who gets paid to exist. That was the 1st time I truly realized money doesn’t respond to logic, it responds to frequency & now I’m seeing what happens when you live that truth every single day.
Overextending yourself for people and making their emergencies your own emergency doesn't get you more loved, it's gets you more used. Trust me they'd be fine without you. being kind is powerful. Being kind without boundaries is exhausting.
I genuinely think the worst thing the internet did to reading was convince people that finishing books is a competitive sport. You don't need to read 52 books a year. You just need to read. Books you like. At your own pace. And think about them for longer than a TikTok video.
Your entire life will change the day you realize discipline is the highest form of self-respect. It’s choosing what you want most over what you want now. It’s keeping your word. It’s an act of service to your future self.
J’avais 2 taff à côté des études un moment, des mecs dont les parents payaient l’appart me disaient « je sais pas comment tu fais tu te repose quand ? »
Frérot si je me repose je n’ai pas de quoi manger enfaite mdr
