I don’t know who else needs to hear this but: life is too short to think it’s too late!
Change careers at 30. Find your purpose at 40. Have your crazy love story at 50.
“Too late” is a decision not a destination.
Beloved, you are not a project. Doing the work of healing sometimes looks like sitting under the sun, laughing until your side aches and taking in the beauty of still being here.
Loving who you are today can be balm for your soul
Some of y’all are asking God to deliver you from the season He’s using to develop you.
Beloved stop looking for a way out of a season that God wants to lead you through.
Beloved, stop calling your peaceful season boring. Sometimes we can be so conditioned by chaos and dysfunction that we curse the stillness.
Your life isn’t boring. And you aren’t boring. See the blessing of things being a little more healed and hushed.
Your obsession with finding closure is anchoring you to the past. The silence, the disrespect, the rejection was the closure. Tie the loose ends with your own hands by accepting that knowing why it ended doesn’t change that it ended. And carry on, beloved.
We think we will be satisfied and comforted by an EXPLANATION of our suffering. But in fact, we receive comfort through a REVELATION of who God is in the midst of our suffering.
Hear me out: the goal is not to last long enough to see a resolution but to last long enough to receive a revelation.
A revelation of God’s character will sustain us in ways a mere resolution cannot.
I’d love to see Christians disentangle the language of Christianity from that of capitalism.
being loved by God
> being used by God
We are not currency.
We are cherished children.
We are not potential for productivity.
We are already dripping with divinity.
I woke up with my legs so sore and for someone who doesn’t work out I was so confused!
The Holy Spirit gently reminded me I spend a portion of the day learning a Tik Tok dance that required the knees of a 16 year old with the knees of a 30-somethings.
