@Melinda47055157@neogalaxite that is, until she realized she couldn’t hold onto that forever. and despite remembering joel since his death as all the pain he endured, she was finally able to accept what happened & move forward with a good memory, along with the knowledge that he wouldn’t want this for her
@Melinda47055157@neogalaxite ooh, i’ve never heard that perspective before! could be, but i didn’t take it as she has blocked it out. i saw it as it didn’t matter in the scale of her anger and her grief. it wasn’t enough time for her
@Da_rio112 @poeticlove1989@TheLastofUsNews but joel is significantly older than pedro, especially in part two. an actor’s age doesn’t really mean much. she could definitely be esther 🤷♀️ not out of the question
@elliestricep and i can completely understand the disappointment if you were specifically excited to see that representation in tlou on the big screen, but isabela can still do a fanastic job as dina despite not being jewish
@elliestricep i completely agree that the jewish representation in her character was super enjoyable, but i’m just saying we shouldn’t completely write off the show because of a difference in casting. we have that version of dina already, that can’t be taken away. this is just something new 🤷♀️
@elliestricep we haven’t seen her performance though? did they not prove anything with the incredible cast from season one? why immediately judge her portrayal because she doesn’t look the same?
@JRBELLIE i just wanted to come back and thank you for being willing to chat about the topic respectfully. i’m really passionate about those with different opinions or views having friendly debates and hearing each other out, without attacking each other, so i really appreciated it 😊
@JRBELLIE 2/2 share about every hot topic debate/earth shattering tragedy on social media. i, for one, use social media and entertainment to escape the tragedies and depressions of the world, so i am always appreciative of those who stick to light hearted/surface level posts, ya know?
@JRBELLIE 1/2 i totally hear you, but what i meant by “political issue” was not to belittle the impact, just that the atrocious tragedy is occurring due to politics. and i can also understand and respect the want to spread awareness and ways to help, but not everyone feels they should…
@biforvi could you explain why there is an expectation that consumers shouldn’t enjoy a piece of entertainment unless they align with or support all beliefs of the creators?
