Her citizenship status was questioned. In her defense, she presented a Filipino birth certificate and passport, asserting her compliance with legal requirements. When you know the law, you will know how to defend yourself.

The MAFIA link:
Guo denied knowledge of her business partners' criminal activities, including money laundering and human trafficking, though this claim was met with skepticism. This is a possibility, but very unlikely.

Guo's Defense Backfired:
Guo's defense of her citizenship qualifications only holds if there are no errors in her birth certificate. However, significant errors, such as an untraceable record of her mother's name in the PSA, undermined her defense.

Bamban Speaks:
If you ask the constituents of Bamban, Guo is a transformational mayor when it comes to performance. In fact, in terms of progress, she has surpassed all the past mayors combined. The constituents love her, no doubt. In fact, to them, Guo is a hero.

Conclusion:
There is a law we have to obey, and it shall excuse no one, even the great or powerful. Filipinos may blindly hold on to anyone who promises them a better life, and even more so if the person actually delivers. In her constituents' eyes, Guo is a competent, kind-hearted, generous, and loving mayor. Life has been so difficult that we tend to look for heroes to save us, regardless of the "hero's" intentions. So what were Guo's true intentions? To this date, they remain unknown.
