You don’t hate being ignored.
You hate realizing
you were never as important to them
as they were to you.
And the worst part?
You probably knew it
before they proved it.
The smartest person in the room
is often the one saying nothing.
Not because they have nothing to say.
Because they already know
who won’t understand it.
A lot of people don’t have imposter syndrome.
They’re actually mediocre.
The uncomfortable part is
they’ve been surrounded by people
too polite to tell them.
You pretend you know.
Then get offended
when your audience pretends
they don’t know.
Bro, you’re not educating them.
You’re just recycling
what they already know
with better grammar.
AI won’t replace your job.
It will expose
how much of your job
was just moving information
between meetings.
And that’s the part
your resume called “experience.”
Your identity can become a very convincing prison.
I’m an introvert.
I’m bad with money.
I’m not a creative person.
The label feels like an explanation.
Until you realize
you've been using it as a permission slip
to never find out if it was true.
Your brain will defend a bad decision
just because you suffered to make it.
That’s why people stay in jobs,
relationships, businesses, and beliefs
they would never choose today.
Pain creates a dangerous illusion:
I’ve already invested too much.
Sometimes the smartest move
is admitting the investment was tuition.
Salary expense jumped 174%.
₹1.92 Cr disallowed.
But where did the 10% limit come from? 👀
The business was bank-loan recovery, with 100+ employees, most working in the field.
Salary & wages rose from ₹1.17 Cr to ₹3.21 Cr.
The AO found the increase excessive and considered only a 10% increase over the previous year reasonable.
The result?
₹1.92 Cr disallowance.
But the AO did not point out any specific bogus salary payment.
CIT(A) deleted the addition.
The Revenue appealed to ITAT.
ITAT upheld the deletion.
The Tribunal noted that if the AO believed the details were inadequate,
He could have rejected the books and proceeded with a best-judgment assessment.
And if income was to be estimated, the estimate had to be reasonable.
A 10% cap, without that proper exercise, wasn't enough.
A higher expense can raise a question.
It cannot by itself become a disallowance.

Some goals should die.
Not because you failed.
Because the person who wanted them
no longer exists.
Dragging an old dream
into a new life
isn't commitment.
Sometimes it's emotional hoarding.
