I've seen a lot of "class balance isn't possible in M+ there will always be one dominant spec" discussions recently and I'd just like to point out that this is very much not the case. Below are the top classes for each role in s1 DF / s2 SL and then for comparison, the same for s4 DF. The top half of the image is what metas should look like, and that can absolutely be achieved through class tuning like it has been in the past. The biggest issues causing the stale meta since season 2 are raid buffs, aug, lack of class tuning, and the recent spike in frequent 1 shot mechanics requiring specs with extremely powerful defensive kits. I really hope devs still have time to address these issues before TWW. Between that and more aggressive class tuning throughout the first half of the season, we shouldn't have a need for an affix system that tries to force meta shifts from week to week
