FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki has made it clear that the studio will continue focusing on creativity instead of making “safe” sequels just to satisfy investors.
He believes that giving developers the freedom to create what they are passionate about is key to making truly valuable games.
“We are able to freely create the games we want to make without excessive interference,” Miyazaki said, adding that maintaining this environment is important for delivering “truly valuable games.”
Miyazaki wants future entries in series like Elden Ring or Bloodborne to happen because the team has strong ideas for them.
@deadlyclaris I’m doing both San Diego and LA! There is a train you can take to get to LA too which is nice. I haven’t been to the San Diego venue but I can try and answer any questions I should know some folks 🫡
@SteveIsNeat@valigo They are not retained. That’s a myth so you’ll think if you work hard you’re safe. I’ve seen many experienced, principal level folks get laid off. Just look at epics layoffs
@Hypersiter64 Streamers typically don’t stream the game but make videos because people know your base layout and when you are offline. (Stream sniping) so makes sense to do a private server
@RisingSun1939@alexplaysvg@realLauraFryer People do like it! It’s just a niche genre made for a specific type of player which is ok for devs to do! “It’s just that simple” but don’t take into account people who actually played the games opinion smh
@maevesfw@doxntme Yeah maybe the more accurate complaint is dire marsh isn’t a fun map. You want/should be in ranked to get the experience you want but it being set on an unfun map is forcing you to play an experience you don’t enjoy. Also wonder if ranked being a random map would help?
